November 23, 2007Paddy Irish / Scots and English man didn’t Qualify!
November 22, 2007I’ve lost a lot of interest in Irish football over the past years and in a way nothing will ever bring back the nail biting feelings of watching Ireland play in Italia 90 or USA 94 so I would just watch the major international games and see other countries playing.
I know it’s typical Irish begrudgary but where Englands concern its always that bit sweeter! I’m sure there’s some inter-toto japanese / american world tour charity cup they can compete for … muahahaha

How to Host a Garden Snail Race
November 21, 2007
So Eastenders isn’t on the box tonight, you’ve run out of paint to watch dry so here’s the thing to perk up the dark evenings, a snail race! Get your dodgy fedora hat and cigar at the ready and enter bookie mode as you convince your beered up mates that it’s better than online poker n such…
The site does into sickening detail on capturing your competitors and infact preparing them for the big race:
Many of the mollusks will be too skittish to come out of their shells. You want brave snails. Wait until one peeks out of his shell and starts moving. Grab that one and, while holding the shell in the air, press a racing number onto the shell. DO NOT apply the number while on the ground because you’ll smoosh and possibly injure the snail.
All the same excitement you would come to expect from a good day out at Leopardstown but in saying that you would want to be numb in the brain to be this bored, funny all the same!
Introducing the Roosh Pregnancy Test ™, with an 80% accuracy rating.
November 21, 2007
That’s right , not like the 99 percent guarantee brigade, this one will give you enough doubt so you can’t be quite sure whether your life is ruined or not!
I’m inventing a new home pregnancy test because I’m not satisfied with the ones on the market. Right now all the pregnancy tests are 99% accurate, which is way too accurate. I want there to be serious doubt if the test comes back positive to buy me some extra time to search for cheap one-way fares to a different country. The defining moment of my life should not come to me in a plastic tube brought from CVS pharmacy.
You have to admire honesty sometimes! Scowering down the comments there are some real doozers there…

Pretty in Pink
November 21, 2007American Gangster
November 21, 2007This is easily one of the best films i have seen in a long time, especially this year and if you like the Goodfellas / Casino genre it’s a must see! I think Denzel and Russell Crowe gel well together on screen and both storylines keep you interested the full length of the 157 minutes which otherwise would be bum numbing!
Denzel plays a a great lead role as Frank Lucas who is on the rise in the drug industry in New York in the final years of the 60′s and Russell plays a straight laced Narc who’s job it is to being down the major players in the import / dealing industry.
This will definitely be added to my DVD collection once released! A realy good gangster film!

Should i Linux?
November 19, 2007
Since i can remember i have always used Windows, i have ventured into the unknown territories of Linux a couple of times but nothing got me hooked.
- A few years ago the first PC i had was on the way out and i asked a techie friend to expalin and maybe walk me through a RedHAT Linux installation. Now at the time RedHat wasn’t the whizzy-mc-dizzy one cd install it is today and to be honest it was a nightmare, non-win modem, nothing worked and to be honest the only thing that appealled to me at the time was the fact you could have multi desktops!
- In the past few years I got the Linux itch again but instead of wiping my laptop and losing my sanity again i installed VmWare and installed a Virtual Machine of SUSE 8.0 and although because it was sharing the piss ass slow system i had with Windows it sucked big time but it did show a lot of potential! I loved the GUI and although i didnt take it out for a spin online it had all the appropriate tools!
So here i am again now, after seeing it over on Seans Blog, the gOS has kinda taken my fancy! It’s sleek looking and light weight and has all the Google Gadgetry that i would need! Now granted that they are all web based apps and i don’t have broadband at home so it would generally be a waste for that purpose but I just feel like i have to move on, i’m sick of Windows crashing every time i connect it up online due to some new worm / virus.
I have a few questions for those in the know!
- Does running Linux improve my chances of not getting common virii spyware?
- Is pretty much everything compatible with Linux nowadays
So i’m airing on the side of gOS, even though there doesn’t seem to be that much support online for it and i don’t have a permanent connection online…
Your thoughts? Which Linux OS would you reccommend?
